School Times

Timings for the School Day

At Cage Green, we operate a soft start system.  This means that you can bring your child to school anytime between 8:45 am and 8:55 am.  Registration is at 8:55 and so arrivals after 8:55 am are late and children have to be signed in through the main office.  

Morning Session for all children:  8:55 - 12:15

*Morning Break for all children:  10:30 - 10:45

Lunch time for all children:  12:15 - 1:15

Afternoon sessions

Reception, Year One and Year Two and the Phoenix Centre:  1:15 until 3:15

Years Three,  Four, Five and Six:  1:15 until 3:20.

 *Our Reception children do not have a morning break as they use a play based curriculum and timetable which renders a morning break unnecessary. 

The total number of school hours per week is 31 hours and 40 minutes in Reception, Key Stage One and the Phoenix Centre (not including the ten minute soft start).

The total number of school hours per week is 32 hours and 5 minutes in Key Stage Two (not including the ten minute soft start).

The appropriate adult must be ready to collect their child(ren) at the above time.  Lateness in picking up is extremely distressing for children and is not accepted by the school.
