We have added a new section to our website of videos that show parents how they can support with their children's learning at home. "The Busy Parents' Guide to Spelling" and "Play Homework for Reception" are our first two. More are to come! Click the curriculum tab and then the tab for how to support your child at home to watch.
Our tours for prospective parents have been very popular and are now booked up. If you would like to arrange a tour, please contact the office who will make arrangements for you.
I would like to offer you and your family a very warm welcome to Cage Green Primary School and look forward to the opportunity of working in partnership with you during your child’s time in school.
Cage Green has high expectations and its ethos both encourages and promotes the best traditional values. Achieving high levels of English and maths for all our pupils continues to be key priorities for the school, but our commitment to encouraging them to “work hard“, “be kind“ and “make friends“ provides us with an important focus for developing the whole child.
All members of staff are strongly committed to achieving a happy, secure and supportive environment which we believe to be fundamental to the achievement of high standards of teaching and learning.
Cage Green recognises the critical role of parents in the learning process and you can be assured that we will work closely with you in many different ways to enable your child to grow and develop with confidence as an independent learner, fully prepared and equipped for meeting the future challenges at Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and at the point of entry to Secondary education at Key Stage 3.
Although the school website provides you with the key information about the school’s aims, curriculum and school activities, we recognise the importance of first hand knowledge, through visiting the school to see all of the pupils, teachers and teaching assistants at work and meeting with myself and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. If you would like to make an appointment to tour the school or have any queries, please contact the school office on 01732 354325 and speak to Mrs Gower, my Office Manager, who will be happy to deal with your initial enquiry.
