School Times

Timings for the School Day

At Cage Green, we operate a soft start system.  This means that you can bring your child to school anytime between 8:45 am and 8:55 am.  Registration is at 8:55 and so arrivals after 8:55 am are late and children have to be signed in through the main office.  

Morning Session for all children:  8:55 - 12:15

*Morning Break for all children:  10:30 - 10:50

Lunch time for all children:  12:15 - 1:15

Afternoon sessions

Reception, Years One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six and the Phoenix Centre:  1:15 until 3:25.

 *Our Reception children do not have a morning break as they use a play based curriculum and timetable which renders a morning break unnecessary. 

The total number of school hours per week is 32.5 hours in Key Stage One and Two (not including the ten minute soft start).

The appropriate adult must be ready to collect their child(ren) at the above time.  Lateness in picking up is extremely distressing for children and is not accepted by the school.
